Palo Santo (Spanish for “Holy Wood”) is fragrant wood from the tree Bursera Graveolens, native to parts of South America like Peru and Ecuador. It has a sweet, woody, slightly citrus scent and has been traditionally used for spiritual cleansing, relaxation, and promoting a calm atmosphere.

How to use:

1. Light the stick. Hold one end and light it with a candle or lighter for about 20–30 seconds.
2. Blow out the flame. Let it smolder so it produces gentle smoke.
3. Cleanse your space or yourself. Wave the smoke around your body, room, or objects you want to “cleanse.” Many people set an intention while doing this.
4. Extinguish safely. Place the stick in a fireproof bowl or dish. It will usually go out on its own.
